You might wonder, why build a search engine for finding captioned videos. If you read our About Us page, you'll find that there are a number of different uses. Perhaps the most compelling example we've seen is from an external site called How to pronounce words (and use them). It's more than your conventional talking dictionary. There you can actually see video pronunciations of words being spoken in real situations by actual people. The face-to-face pronunciation feature is quite interesting as well as it allows you to see the speaker in the face while s/he pronounces a word. Take a look at the following pages for these words that have captioned video examples.
As we find other novel uses of captioned videos in or outside the context of learning languages, we will certainly post them here and share them with you. Right here on 22frames!
